Located 24 km north of Bangkok, Don Mueang International Airport (Old Bangkok International Airport) is one of the busiest airports in Thailand, with services offered by many important airlines. Officially opened on 27th March 1914, it claims credit of being one of the oldest airports in the world. With the opening of the new Suvarnabhumi Airport, Don Mueang served as a facility for military aircrafts, charter flights and civil aviation. However, domestic commercial flights again started operating from 24th March 2007. Today, the airport offers services of three airlines - Thai Airways, Nok Air and One-Two-GO Airlines.

Suvarnabhumi Airport (New Bangkok International Airport), officially opened on 28th September 2006, is the international airport of Bangkok. Located in Racha Thewa in Bang Phli district, 25 km to the east of Bangkok, it offers services of a host of domestic and international airlines, including Britsh Airwyas, Cathay Pacific, Air France, China Airlines and Air India. Designed by by Murphy/Jahn Architects, the airport boasts of the tallest control tower in the world. Unlike Don Muang that has three terminals, Suvarnabhumi has one huge terminal that handles both international as well as domestic flights.
